Whenever I see cis male drag queens, I always think, 'Wow, I want to do that!' - I certainly wouldn't be interested in passing as female whatsoever, but I would love to be able to indulge in the glamour and performance of it all and still be perceived as a crossdressing man. Long story short, I'm wondering if I'm the only trans guy who feels so drawn towards this sort of drag expression. But what I've never seen is a trans man who performs as a drag queen. I'm certainly aware of a few trans women who are also drag queens, and I'm sure there are trans men who perform as drag kings too. I know, historically and now, there's been a lot of overlap between trans and drag communities. for those who don't know, it's a musical about drag queens - and since then, I've returned to a line of thought that's been bothering me for some time. So, I just went to see Kinky Boots the other night.
